Hi, I’m Kate. For nearly a decade I’ve worked in the support and allied health industry, walking alongside some truly incredible people. Over the years, I’ve seen both the joys of supporting clients to live independently and the frustrations of watching many miss out on the care and services they truly deserved.
Advocating for my clients—making sure their voices were heard and their needs were met—quickly became my passion. I knew I wanted to create something better: a service where people are treated with dignity, compassion, and genuine care. That vision became Kate’s Connections.
Our team shares the same heart and commitment: to provide the kind of support we would want for our own families. For me, this mission is deeply personal. I often think back to my own mother and wish she had access to the care and support she deserved. She is the inspiration behind Kate’s Connections, and it’s her legacy that drives me to ensure no one is left without the quality of care they need.
My mother, Gloria, was a nurse. She had a caring, cheeky, creative spirit and always carried a felt-tip pen in her pocket. She would draw smiley faces on her patients’ flowers — just to brighten their day. She believed in care that came from the heart.
In 2022, just before she transitioned to palliative care, she said to me, “I never saw myself on this side of things.” She had always been the caregiver — never the one receiving care.
When I shared her story with her nurse and brought daisies with little faces drawn on them, something shifted. Her nurse saw her not just as a patient, but as a person — someone just like her.
That’s why I started Kate’s Connections — in memory of my mum. I wanted others to receive the kind of thoughtful, personal support she deserved.
We want to hear your story. Not just what you need now, but what brings you joy — your interests, your passions, your past. Whether you were a nurse, a teacher, a soldier, a parent, or something else entirely — we want to meet the whole you.
Because at Kate’s Connections, it’s not just about care — it’s about connection.
Blessings, Kate
Kate’s Connections was born from a deeply personal experience — the kind that changes how you see the world.
Founder Kate Casson’s mother, Gloria, was a vibrant nurse with a cheeky smile and a felt-tip pen always at hand. She brought light to those in her care — literally drawing smiley faces on their flowers just to brighten their day.
In 2022, during Gloria’s transition to palliative care, she quietly said, “I never saw myself on this side of things.” For the first time, the caregiver became the one receiving care. It was in that moment — and the profound connection with her nurse — that Kate realised how important it is to truly see people.
Kate’s Connections was created to honour that legacy. We’re here to support not just your current needs, but your whole self — your history, passions, personality, and dignity.
What We Believe
That aged care should be personal
That every individual still has so much to share
That connection is at the heart of healing
We don’t see clients. We see people. And we’re here to walk beside you — every step of the way.
At Kate’s Connections, we believe quality care is built on trust, compassion, and genuine connection. We don’t just provide services — we walk beside our clients, listening to their needs and tailoring support that helps them feel safe, valued, and independent in their own homes and communities. What sets us apart is our heart. Every member of our team shares the same passion: to deliver the kind of care we’d want for our own loved ones. With a focus on dignity, respect, and reliability, we make sure our clients receive not only the services they need, but the support they deserve.
